Due to the forecasted weather in the Sioux Falls Area all OUTDOOR Edison Middle School activities are CANCELED today. Football - Practice is canceled and students will need to have a way home arranged for them after school. Cross Country - Athletes will not run outside. However, Cross Country athletes will meet and practice indoors. They can be picked up at their normal time. 7th Grade Volleyball - Practice will continue as scheduled. Hey Cats! We are here with a basketball update from last week's 8th Grade A/B games! We have a player of the game from each game. They are Tyson Blom and Lester Cholopray! We are proud of their play on the court and their leadership at practice and in school! Two awesome Cats representing Edison!

Hello Edison Athletics Families! The Winter Athletics Season is here! Girls Basketball and Boys/Girls Wrestling have been in full swing and our athletes are having a blast! If you have not already, please review the Parent Letters listed below for more information on your athlete’s sport this season! Girls Basketball Parent Letter Wrestling Parent Letter The Coaches for each sport are as follows… Girls Basketball: John DeJager (A/B) and Sether Randall (C/D) Wrestling: Jared Goede, Katelynn Woods, and Ridge Percival In addition to their equipment, all athletes must have a completed physical AND completed the Annual Student Registration Packet. The athlete must turn in a physical copy of the completed physical but may have either an electronic copy or a paper copy of the Annual Student Registration Packet. The link for this information is found below… Forms Needed For Participation in Middle School Athletics At this time, all sign-ups for the sports listed above are closed except for extenuating circumstances such as students that move in from a different school or district. If there are any questions on this, please contact the Athletic Director. Our Edison Athletics page is still “under construction” so for the time being please check the SFSD page (Edison Middle School Athletics Page) for updates on the calendars and cancellations. We will also be sending out communication on cancellations and other information related to your sport to the email that you provided on the Google Form when you signed your student up to participate. The Message Board found on the Edison Middle School Athletics Page will also be updated to reflect the changes and if the events are being rescheduled.
