Field Day was so much fun! Initially, kids were bummed we had to have field day inside due to the rain, but kids had a blast with the indoor activities Mr. Borges planned! Thank you to our parent helpers for leading stations! Thanks Mr. B for having a back up plan so we could have fun getting exercise!

On May 15, Miss Leloux's class took their final field trip to the Outdoor Campus. They got to learn about owls and dissect an owl pellet! Many of them found skulls and bones of different rodents the owls ate! So fun and interesting! Then they went outside to fish and do archery! Everyone had so much fun! Thanks to our drivers for taking the third grade students there and helping chaperone.

Way to go High Flyers!! We are proud you made choices to be respectful, responsible, and safe!!

Third graders had their last Dow Rummel visit of the year on Friday. They enjoy visiting with the residents and this time showing them the new grant items Miss Leloux got from the Sioux Falls Public Schools Education Foundation grant this year. Some of the items she received that they brought were puzzles, card games, card holders, crossword puzzles books, Shut the Box, and previously won handheld microscopes. All of these items brought joy to the students and residents! It is so cool to see their bond they form over the year! Thank you to our drivers this month! This opportunity would not be possible without your help!

Congrats to Miss Joffer for being chosen as one of the honorees of Catfish Bay Greatest Teacher Award! Nice work! Thanks for taking the time to recognize our awesome teachers!

Third graders enjoyed traveling to new places in the world and have an up close view through the VR (virtual reality) goggles! They traveled all over the world from high above views of Central Park from a skyscraper, inside a volcano, swam with sharks in the ocean, toured the Great Wall, visited pyramids, looked up the nostrils of the president on Mount Rushmore, and so much more!! Miss Leloux received these as apart of a Sioux Falls Public School Education Foundation grant a few years ago! So fun!

The 4th and 5th graders had their last Kids Care of the year! They volunteered at various organizations around the community. One group stayed and made tie blankets for Sleep in Heavenly Peace who provides beds for kids in need. Some previously made blankets were delivered as gifts this weekend. Thanks to Amy Hoines for organizing these opportunities for the kids all year! Way to go, kids!

The 5th graders celebrated their graduation from All City on May 15th. We will miss their smiling faces in the hallway next year! We will also miss the families that had their last child attend ACE...thanks for your years of dedication to our school and your child!

Big thank you to Life Church for spoiling our staff each month at our staff meetings with delicious treats! You are such a blessing! Thanks!

Third graders were reading through different plays and reader's theater and then got to perform in front of their classmates! It will be exciting to see them try out for the musical next year as we have many great emerging actors and actresses!

Last School Store of the year! Thank you for the support throughout the year for our 4th and 5th graders different events it helps!

Tug of War!! It is a tradition to challenge other grades! This year we mixed it up a little because Kindergarten was on a field trip...so we had 1 vs 2, 2 vs 3, 3 vs 4, and 4 vs 5! It was some great competition and lots of fun!

Students love autograph day during Family! We venture out into the hallway for everyone to get a chance to snag an autograph from other students, parents, and staff! It is a fun event!

We love when former ACE alumni come visit! We had the pleasure of welcoming JT Rock back to read to the kids! He even stayed to answer questions about college, basketball, and how tall he is! Answer: 7'1" 😀 Fun fact: Miss Leloux was his 3rd grade teacher back in the day! Thanks for visiting us, JT!

The 4th and 5th grade students and families had a community service project on May 10th where they helped with the Furniture Mission. Thank you to the Gaddis family for organizing this event. It is always great to give back to those in need.

Happy School Nurse Day, Nick! We appreciate all you do for our students and staff!

Way to go High Flyers! We are proud of you!

4th and 5th Grade Hit the Trails on May 7. What a fantastic day of sunshine, smiles, and cycling! Our 4th and 5th graders took to the bike trails for an unforgettable adventure filled with fun, friendship, and fresh air. From scenic views of the Falls to laughter-filled breaks, memories were made that will last a lifetime. Thank you to the staff and parents who made this special day possible! Great times had by all!

Chalk and bubbles day in Family is always a fun time!

Third graders took a field trip to Good Earth State Park on May 8th. They learned about the history of the park and enjoyed viewing the nature by hiking the trails. Thank you to our parents who drove us there and helped chaperone! Such a fun day!
