🧬🩺 Dual Credit Anatomy Field Trip – May 6 🩺🧬 Yesterday, our Dual Credit Anatomy students took an unforgettable trip to USD for a cadaver lab experience! They had the opportunity to dive deep into real-world learning by performing a urinalysis and solving a medical case study — applying classroom knowledge in a hands-on, impactful way. 🧪🧠 We’re so proud of these future health professionals and grateful for opportunities like this! 🌊🔬 AP Environmental Science Field Trip – April 25 🔬🌊 On April 25, our AP Environmental Science students headed out to Skunk Creek for a hands-on learning adventure! They conducted water testing and searched for macroinvertebrates, applying their knowledge in the real world — and had a blast doing it! ☀️🧪🦠 Learning doesn’t get much better than this!

Is your 8th grader ready for high school? Connections is a great opportunity for incoming freshmen to get a jump on high school. Students will learn the ins and outs of Roosevelt and earn 0.5 credits towards graduation (that is the same amount that you earn for a semester long class!). Start their high school experience off on the right foot by enrolling in Connections! Space is limited.

On Thursday, April 17, JROTC had their Sioux Falls Combined Annual Pass-in-Review. Roosevelt hosted and welcomed Lincoln and Washington JROTC Corps. Dr Stavem was their guest speaker and she delivered an outstanding speech on growth! It perfectly punctuated the year! Thanks to all the staff and administrators who support our program and students. We couldn’t do this without all of you! Thank you to the families for allowing us to be a part of your students lives. We truly enjoy our role and the impact this program can have!

RHS students attended the "Let's Talk Work" Convention, hosted by the Transition Services Liaison Project at Sanford. The students learned employment skills, work advocacy, transition opportunities, and job interviews! What an amazing opportunity for our students!
